HomeCrayons 2 Computers - a free store for teachers

Shopping Policies

  • C2C has approved the following personnel to shop in our store: principals, assistant principals, deans, guidance counselors, full-time speech pathologists, full-time psychologists and full-time certified teachers who have their own classroom (including art, gym, music and library).  If you have a question about a position not listed here, please contact the Operations Manager, Tom Haggard, at (513) 482-3290 or thaggard@crayons2computers.org

  • Long term substitute teachers (those assigned to a classroom for 6 weeks or longer) are eligible to shop at C2C.  C2C needs to receive an update indicating the full name and grade/subject taught by the LTS and also who he/she is replacing.  Please remember to notify C2C once the original teacher returns.

  • C2C needs to be updated if there are any changes (additions, replacements or deletions) to your school's staff list throughout the entire school year.  Personnel not listed on their school's staff list will not be able to shop until C2C receives notice from the school.   An update on school letterhead containing the full name, position/job title, and grade/subject taught by the new employee can be made by fax at (513) 482-3294 or by email at (nwestkamp@crayons2computers.org).

  • Each school is given an assigned shopping week (A, B, C D, or E) in our shopping rotation.  Your school will be able to shop once every five (5) weeks.

  • You may shop ONCE during your assigned week.  In addition to your assigned shopping schedule, you are given two "flex" days to use throughout the school year.  A "flex" day allows you to shop outside of your assigned week.  "Flex" days may not be prior to Labor Day (September 6th, 2010).

  • On days with inclement weather, C2C will announce a decision to close by 12:00 p.m .   This announcement can be found on our website and on local television stations.  Please look for Crayons to Computers during the school/business closings on Channels 12 and 9.
  • Teachers may only shop 10 times per school year.  When a teacher has made his/her 8th visit to C2C, he/she will be notified.

  • Please park in the lot on the east side of the building by the store entrance.  Overflow parking will be accomodated on the street or in the lot on the west side of the building.  Please do not park in front of the loading docks.

  • Please check-in prior to shopping.  A photo ID (i.e. driver's license or school ID) is required for check-in.  You must check in prior to 5:45 p.m.

  • No shopping companions will be permitted to accompany a shopper in the store.   The Fire Marshall prohibits overcrowding.  Please note that our store is small and can only accomodate our shoppers.

  • All items obtained at C2C are for school use only.   By signing the pledge on the check-out sheet, you are agreeing to use all items in your classroom for the benefit of your students.  Any teacher found to be in violation of this agreement will have his/her shopping privileges permanently revoked.

  • All shoppers are limited to one bascart per shopping trip.  You may be as creative as you can be about filling it up, but all purchases must fit into one bascart.  Please observe the limits set for all items.  When taking unlimited product, take only what you need for your classroom.

  • The only thing that C2C asks of our shoppers is that you write thank you notes to our donors.   You will receive a list of donors to thank during your shopping trip and thank you notes to these donors can be written by you or your students.  These thank you notes help us receive repeat donations and keep our shelves stocked with materials for use in your classroom.

If you have any questions or concerns about items not listed here, please feel free to contact the Operations Manager, Tom Haggard, at thaggard@crayons2computers.org.
